Protecting Your Field Guides
We’ve been excited to roll out our Field Guide for Private Worship this winter in Karis Church. The Field Guide is a tool we’ve created to help you as you daily seek to connect with the Lord. It will provide to you both an approach for private worship, as well as a focus as you seek after Him. Grab one per person for $3 over the weeks ahead. Don’t wait until the new year to jump into it. Start now. I’m hopeful it will be as helpful for you as it has been for me.
This resource is meant to last you throughout 2020. In fact, you could even re-use it the next year - although we’ll no doubt create a new version. For that reason, I’d highly recommend you grab a cover to protect your guide. The goal is to provide you with something you can carry with you wherever you go. Without some protection, it won’t last long. Below are three suggestions, ranked as good, better, and best.
Good
This clear plastic cover should be more than adequate to protect your Field Guide for the year ahead. Plus, it’s quite inexpensive. If it gets dirty or tears, grab another.
Better
This leather cover is a clear upgrade. It’s similar to the original Traveler’s Notebook in the best category. This will no doubt serve you well - this year and beyond.
Best
To be honest, this may not be better than the leather cover above, but this is the original Midori or Traveler’s Notebook. It’s a bit pricier, but it works great. You can pack 1-3 more notebooks in it. I carry my Field Guide, along another small book for note-taking, in this great cover (pictured).
You can also search “Traveler’s Notebook” or “Midori” and “Passport” and “Cover” on Amazon (or eBay or Etsy) and find lots of other options. Whatever you choose, grab something to keep your Field Guide for Private Worship ready to serve you during 2020.
